Crane Kits

Description:

A crane kits is a pre-engineered package that includes the essential components needed to assemble and operate a crane system. These kits are designed to simplify the installation process and ensure compatibility between parts. Simply put, crane kits are all the accessories except the crane main beam/bridge or gantry frame.

Crane kits are widely used in industries like manufacturing, warehousing, and construction, as they offer a cost-effective and modular approach to building custom overhead crane or gantry crane systems.

Key Components of Overhead Crane Kits:

1. Electric Hoist

  • The crane lifting mechanism.

  • It can be a wire rope hoist or chain hoist depending on the application.

  • The hoist Includes motor, gearbox, brake, wire rope and drum or chain system for lifting.

2. End Carriage

  • The traveling mechanism that allow the bridge to move along the runway.

  • The traveling mechanism includes wheel assemblies, carriage beam, drive motors, and gear reducers.

  • Available in top-running or under-running designs.

3. Trolley/Crab/Winch

  • The mechanism that moves the electric hoist/crab/winch along the bridge.

  • It can be a low-headroom trolley or normal-headroom trolley depending on space constraints.

  • It includes wheels, motors, gearboxes, wire rope, and frames for smooth travel.

4. Controls & Electrical System

  • Control Panel – Houses electrical components for smooth operation.

  • Pendant Control or Radio Remote Control – Allows the operator to control the crane functions.

  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) – For precise speed control (in some kits).

  • Limit Switches – Prevents over-travel of the hoist and trolley.

  • Cable Management System (Conductor Bar, Festoon or Energy Drag Chain) – Supplies power to moving parts.

5. Drive System

  • Motors, brakes, and gearboxes for bridge travel.

  • It can be dual-motor drive or single-motor drive depending on crane capacity.

6. Safety Devices

  • Overload Protection – Prevents lifting loads beyond capacity.

  • Emergency Stop – Quick shutdown in case of an emergency.

  • Anti-Collision Sensors – To prevent collisions with obstacles.

  • Limit Switches – Stops movement at predefined limits.

  • Buffers – To absorb impact energy and prevent damage of cranes/trolleys.

  • Audible light warning system - It warns that the crane is working, please pay attention to safety.

7. Installation & Assembly Hardware

  • Bolts, mounting brackets, and other necessary installation components.

  • Some kits may include assembly instructions and technical drawings.

Key Components of Gantry Crane Kits:

1. Electric Hoist

  • The crane lifting mechanism.

  • It can be a wire rope hoist or chain hoist depending on the application.

  • The hoist Includes motor, gearbox, brake, wire rope and drum or chain system for lifting.

2. Trolley/Crab/Winch

  • The mechanism that moves the electric hoist/crab/winch along the main beam.

  • Basically, trolley/Crab/Winch are for double girder gantry cranes.

  • It includes wheels, motors, gearboxes, wire rope, and frames for smooth travel.

3. Traveling Boogies/Wheel Assembly

  • It includes wheels/boogies that allow the gantry crane to move along a track (rail-mounted) or on casters (portable/fixed gantry cranes).

  • The wheels can be rubber tires (for mobile gantry cranes) or rail wheels (for track-mounted cranes), or casters wheels for portable gantry cranes.

  • Some kits include motorized drive systems for powered movement.

  • Cable Management System (Cable reel system, Conductor Bar, Festoon or Energy Drag Chain) – Supplies power to moving parts.

  • Bolts, brackets, and assembly guides for easy setup.

  • Some kits include technical drawings for reference.
